APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT #266 On the motion of.Council- <br />PRENTICE PARK ZOO IMPROVEMENTS man Bricken, seconded by <br />APPROVED Councilman Brandt, and <br /> carried 6:1, with Council- <br />man Yamamoto dissenting, Appropriation Adjustment #266 trans- <br />ferring $53,225 from Council Contingency to Prentice Park Zoo <br />Operational and Capital Accounts for veterinarian fees and <br />capital equipment for animal care was approved. CA 65.5 <br /> <br />The program had been recommended by the Board of Recreation and <br />Parks. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION The request for funds <br />ORANGE COUNTY FAIR HOUSING COUNCIL for the Orange County <br />REFERRED Fair Housing Council <br /> made by Bill McCue, <br />Executive Director of OCFHC, was referred to Staff to be <br />included as an unfunded item in the budget to be returned <br />to Council for discussion at a budget session, on the motion of <br />Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, and carried <br />7:0 unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. McCue provided Council with copies of a report which <br />included the Orange County Fair Housing Council's Goals and <br />Objectives, a Needs Assessment, a description of the programs, <br />a two-year budget analysis and an analysis of municipal assess- <br />ment. He stated that he wished to reestablish a dialogue <br />with the City, explaining that duties of counsellors had been <br />changed to better utilize the personnel; that a community aware- <br />ness program included the production of six film strips to <br />be used for presentations to schools and civic organizations; <br />and that 20.81% of their case load individuals are residents <br />of Santa Ana. CA 112.15 <br /> <br />SEDORIS PROPERTY ACQUISITION FOR <br />PRENTICE PARK ZOO EXPANSION <br />ESCROW INSTRUCTION AMENDMENTS <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />in their letter dated May 18, <br />purchase, from Trans-Columbia <br /> <br />The Council approved <br />four amendments to <br />escrow instructions, <br />proposed by Trans- <br />Columbia Investments, <br />1977, relative to the City's <br />Investments, of the Sedoris <br /> <br />property (3.7 acre parcel, generally located on the north <br />side of Chestnut Avenue east of Lyon Street), and the Mayor <br />and Clerk of the Council were authorized to execute the <br />letter dated May 18, 1977, as an indication of the City's <br />acceptance of the amendments to First American Title Escrow <br />#1199871-HRB, on the unanimously approved 6:0 motion of <br />Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Garthe; Mayor Evans <br />abstained due to his employment affiliation with First Ameri- <br />can Title. A-77 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION On the motion of Council- <br />OCTD LEAGUE REPRESENTATIVE man Ward, seconded by <br />AL HOLLINDEN - SUPPORTED Councilman Brandt, and <br /> carried 7:0 unanimously, <br />the City's voting delegate to the Orange County Division of <br />the League of California Cities was directed to support the <br />appointment of A1 Hollinden as the League's representative to <br />the Orange County Transit District.
