MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />Juno 20, 1977 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:05 P.M. by Mayor Vernon <br />S. Evans in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. The <br />following members of Council were present: David F. Ortiz, <br />John Garthe, David L. Brandt, James E. Ward and Mayor Evans. <br />Councilmen Gordon Bricken and Harry K. Yamamoto were absent. <br />Staff members present were City Manager Bruce C. Spragg, <br />City Attorney Keith L. Gow, Assistant City Manager Ronald <br />Wolford, Director of Public Works John E. Stevens, Planning <br />Director Charles C. Zimmerman, Police Chief Raymond C. Davis, <br />and Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />man Ortiz. <br /> <br />Following the Plodge <br />of Allegiance to the <br />Flag, the Invocation <br />was given by Council- <br /> <br />RECESS At 2:08 P.M. Council <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY recessed to convene <br /> the regular meeting <br /> of the Housing Authority; <br />Council reconvened at 2:23 P.M. with the same members present. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR Item 5 A was removed <br />ITEMS REMOVED/ADDED/CONTINUED from the Consent Calendar <br />DISSENTING VOTES on the request of Mayor <br /> Evans; Item 88, Bid <br />Call, Project 6127, was added at Mayor's request; Item 12 C, <br />Consulting Services Agreement between City and Envista, was <br />continued upon the request of Staff to July S, 1977; Council- <br />man Ward registered NO votes on Items S D and 5 E; Councilman <br />Ortiz abstained from voting on Item 13 B. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR On the unanimously <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS approved 5:0 motion of <br />APPROVED Councilman Garthe, <br /> seconded by Councilman <br />Ward, Council approved the recommendations of Staff on the <br />following Consent Calendar items: <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Approved the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of May 24, 1977. <br /> <br />BID CALL <br /> <br />Approved plans and specifica- <br />tions and authorized advertise- <br />ment for bids on the following: <br /> <br />PROJECT 6127 - Sewer Improvements at Prentice Park <br />Zoo.
