MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />August 15, 1977 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Vernon S. Evans in the <br />City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, at 2:07 P.M. The <br />following Council members were present: David P. Ortiz, Harry K. <br />Yamamoto, James E. Ward, and Mayor Evans. Councilmen Gordon <br />Bricken, John Garthe, and David L. Brandt were absent. Staff <br />members present were: Assistant City Manager Ronald Wolford, <br />City Attorney Keith Gow, Director of Public Works John E. Stevens, <br />Planning Director Charles C. Zimmerman, Police Chief Raymond C. <br />Davis, and Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag, <br />the Invocation was given <br />by Councilman Ortiz. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> <br />meeting reconvened at 2:15 P.M. <br /> <br /> Council recessed for the <br /> regular meeting of the <br /> Housing Authority at <br />2:08 P.M.; the Council <br />with the same members present. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS Council continued the <br />CONTINUED TO EVENING MEETING following items for con- <br />OR TO AUG. 23 MEETING sideration at the evening <br /> meeting when Councilman <br />Brandt and Bricken would be present: Items 4 A through 4 E, <br />inclusive (Alcoholic Beverage License Applications), Items 5 B <br />through 5 E inclusive (Variances & Conditional Use Permits); <br />and Item 12 C (Housing & Rehabilitation Loan Program Agreement). <br />Item 5 A (Notice of Exemption and Variance 77-29) was con- <br />tinued to the regular meeting of Aug. 23, 1977.
