<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />NOVEMBER 5, 1979 <br /> <br />The Special Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the <br />City of Santa Ana was called to order by Chairman James Ward at <br />2:56 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana, California. After the pledge to the Flag, roll was <br />called: <br /> <br />PRESENT <br /> <br />ABSENT <br /> <br />Gordon Bricken <br />Daniel Griset <br />J. Ogden Markel <br />Al Serrato <br />James Ward <br />Harry Yamamoto <br /> <br />Robert Luxembourger <br /> <br />Others in attendance: <br /> <br />David N. Ream, Assistant Executive Director <br />Tom Hammill, Real Estate Officer <br />Stacey Creveston, Secretary <br />Dan Stone, Assistant City Manager <br />Keith Gow, City Attorney <br />Terry McCarty, Stone & Youngberg <br />Tom Burton, CCDC <br />Leonard Sankstone, Lesny Development <br />Allen Jones, Jones Development <br /> <br />SIX MONTH EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO NEGOTIATE WITH CCDC AND LESNY SUBJECT <br />TO REACHING AGREEMENT WITH ALLEN JONES <br /> <br />Chairman Ward stated that he had a conflict of interest in this <br />matter and turned the meeting over to Vice Chairman Daniel Griset. <br /> <br />Mr. Hammill reported that the parties involved had not been able <br />to reach an agreement. He stated that Torn Burton of CCDC, Leonard <br />Sanks tone of Lesny and Allen Jones of Jones Development were all <br />present and would like to be heard by the Agency. <br /> <br />Mr. Bricken left the meeting. <br /> <br />Messrs. Jones, Burton and Sankstone addressed the Agency, <br />basically stating that they were not able to reach an agreement, <br />but were interested in developing the property. <br /> <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Yamamoto, seconded by <br />Mr. Serrato and carried unanimously (4:0) to instruct the <br />Redevelopment Commission to study and recommend a concept for <br />development of the area above the Jones Development to Tenth <br />Street between Flower and Parton Streets. <br /> <br />Mr. Ward and Mr. Bricken returned to the meeting. <br /> <br />SB-99 BOND, SELECTION OF CONSULTANT <br /> <br />The Assistant Executive Director reviewed the background of <br />selecting and entering into agreements with consultants with <br />regards to marketing the SB-99 Mortgage Revenue Bend for the 14 <br />acre housing site.
