(Agenda Item 64) CA 112.16 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Michael Scott, 2202 <br />ORANGE TOWERS PROJECT Santiago, restated Coun- <br /> cil's reaffirmation of <br /> its position to proceed <br />with a lawsuit to force the City of Orange to develop measures <br />to offset impacts, and he offered the services of the citizens <br />in the area to assist the City in developing those mitigating <br />measures. <br /> <br />City Manager Bruce Spragg stated that consideration is being <br />given to closing Valencia and Santiago Streets to mitigate the <br />traffic impact; that the City will have thirty days following <br />the filing of the Notice of Determination with the County <br />indicating the City of Orange approval of the Environmental <br />Impact Report and the Orange Towers Project; that in the mean- <br />time meetings are being scheduled with the developer, repre- <br />sentatives of the City of Orange, our Staff and residents to <br />negotiate an agreement for further mitigation measures of the <br />adverse environmental impacts.
