MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />March 2, 1978 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order in Room 831, City Hall, 20 Civic <br />Center Plaza, at 5:07 P.M. by Mayor Vernon S. Evans, proper <br />notice and posting having been effected, with affidavits on file <br />in the office of the Clerk of the Council. Council members pre- <br />sent were Gordon Bricken, David F. Ortiz, David L. Brandt, James <br />E. Ward and Mayor Evans. Councilman Garthe arrived at 5:12 P.M. <br />during the Executive Session. Councilman Harry K. Yamamoto was <br />absent. Staff members present included City Manager Bruce C. <br />Spragg, City Attorney Keith L. Gow, and Clerk of the Council <br />Florence I. Malone. A member of the press arrived during the <br />Executive Session recess. <br /> <br />RECESS Following the Pledge of <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION Allegiance to the Flag, <br /> and Invocation, Council <br /> recessed at 5:08 P.M. <br />for an executive session to consider personnel matters; Council <br />reconvened at 6:15 P.M. with all members present except Council- <br />man Yamamoto. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Councilman Garthe, <br /> <br />Council adjourned. <br /> <br />At 6:15 P.M., on the <br />unanimously approved 6:0 <br />motion of Councilman <br />Brandt, seconded by <br /> <br />~FLORENCE I.
