CA 65.3 <br /> CA 50 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 128 Appropriation Adjustment <br />CHARTER AMENDMENTS BROCHURE No. 128 transferring <br />APPROVED $2,600 from Council <br /> Contingency to Public <br />Information to prepare a public educational brochure on the <br />proposed Charter amendments to be presented to the voters on <br />June 6, 1978 in a Special Election, was approved on the motion <br />of Councilman Bricken, seconded by Councilman Brandt, and <br />carried 5:0 unanimously. The two-color educational brochure, <br />15,000 in quantity was approved by Council March 20, 1978 for <br />preparation and distribution. CA 65.3 <br /> CA 129 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 130 On the motion of Council- <br />PROJECT 1399 NEWHOPE STREET man Bricken, seconded by <br />APPROVED Councilman Brandt, car- <br /> ried S:0 unanimously, <br />Appropriation Adjustment No. 130 transferring $2,700 from Select <br />Street Construction Project 1386 to Project 1399 to construct <br />the west side of Newhope Street at Newhope Branch Library was <br />approved. The approval of plans and specifications, and the <br />authorization to advertise for bids was approved on the Consent <br />Calendar of this meeting. CA 65.3 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION - MEMORIAL Councilman Bricken <br />"HOWARD CROOKE RESERVOIR & reported to Council that <br />PUMPING STATION" - APPROVED it had been suggested <br /> that a fitting memorial to <br />the late Howard Crooke, the City representative to the Board of <br />Directors of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern Calif- <br />ornia for nine years, and Manager of the Orange County Water <br />District for fifteen years, would be the naming of the new <br />northeast reservoir in his honor. On the motion of Councilman <br />Bricken, seconded by Councilman Garthe, carried 5:0 unanimously, <br />the northeast reservoir will be named "Howard Crooke Reservoir <br />and Pumping Station", and Staff was directed to arrange a dedi- <br />cation ceremony following the completion of construction. <br /> CA 12 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Mrs. Jan Boer, 912 North <br />HIGHWAY PRIORITIZATION POLICY Lowell, commended Council <br />COMMENDED for the statement of <br /> policy it adopted earlier <br />in the meeting for submission to the Orange County Transporta- <br />tion Commission.
