The recipients were <br />Bob Foreman of Bob's Photo Lab, Paul Surface of Winston Tire <br />Company and Ed Frieson of Hatfries Enterprises. Mr. Wes Brown <br />of Sims-Orange Welding Supply will receive his letter by mail. <br /> CA 73B <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION PRESENTATION Mr. Phil Reber, Chairman <br />PARK & RECREATION MONTH of the City's Board of <br /> Recreation and Parks, <br /> was the recipient of the <br />Mayor's Proclamation declaring the month of June as Park and <br />Recreation Month; Councilman Brandt did the honors with his <br />thanks to the Board for its work during the past year to assist <br />the Council with Park and Recreation decisions. CA ?3B <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - VA 78-21 Mayor Evans announced that <br />1700 B. GARRY AVENUE this was the time and place <br />APPROVED SUBJECT TO 2 YEAR REVIEW for the public hearing of <br /> Negative Declaration and <br />Variance Application 78-21 to allow retail sales of beer and wine <br />in an existing restaurant (sandwich shop) at 1700 East Garry Ave- <br />nue in the LM District; and, that the Variance application was <br />set for public hearing by the City Council on June 5, 1978. <br /> <br />Planning Director Charles Zimmerman stated that the 500 square <br />foot sandwich shop is in an 83,000 square foot industrial center; <br />that the Planning Commission had recommended approval of the <br />variance (by a 5:2 vote) to the Council; that the shop primarily <br />serves the complex, with no frontage to serve other customers; <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 2~42 JUNE 19, 1978 <br /> <br /> <br />
