RESOLUTION NO. 78'-85 ~ ' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />POLICE CHIEF AUTHORIZED COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />TO SUBMIT APPLICATION - ADOPTED THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF <br />OF POLICE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR A BURGLARY AND <br />STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERY PROJECT was adopted by unanimous 4:0 <br />vote, on the motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Council- <br />man Brandt. CA 47 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />CANVASS OF ELECTION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ADOPTED SANTA ANA DECLARING THE <br /> RESULTS OF THE CANVASS <br />OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN <br />SAID CITY ON JUNE 6, 1978 was adopted on Councilman Brandt's <br />motion, seconded by Councilman Garthe, and carried 4:0 unanimously. <br /> CA 68 <br /> <br />AUDITOR-CONTROLLER'S REPORT The Auditor-Controller's <br />SANTA ANA RIVER FLOOD PROTECTION Report on Examination of <br />AGENCY - FILED the Santa Ana River Flood <br /> Protection Agency for the <br />years ended June 30, 1977 and 1976, and the six-month period <br />ended June 30, 1975, was received and filed on the motion of <br />Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Garthe, carried 4:0 <br />unanimously. CA 53.1 <br /> <br />PETITION FOR ANIMAL CONTROL A petition containing 65 <br />SOUTHWEST SANTA ANA signatures along with a <br />REFERRED TO STAFF letter dated June 9, 1978 <br /> from Charles H. Mosley, <br />Chairperson of the Corbin/Jerome Centers Advisory Board, request- <br />ing an increase in animal control because of the excessive <br />number of stray animals in southwest Santa Ana, was referred <br />to Staff for report and recommendation at the budget hearing <br />scheduled for July 17, 1978 on the motion of Councilman Garthe, <br />seconded by Councilman Brandt, carried 4:0 unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Mosley's letter said that the recommendation is made to the <br />Council following community meetings held to discuss the problem. <br />The petitioners favor increasing equipment and staff of the <br />animal control division of the Police Department. CA 95 <br /> <br />Councilman Bricken arrived at the meeting at 2:28 P.M. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FOR GARDEN GROVE RESOLUTION Endorsement was given <br />LEAGUE BYLAWS - VOTING RIGHTS City of Garden Grove <br />ENDORSED Resolution No. SS90-78 <br /> recommending amendment <br />of the State League of California Cities Bylaws to allow local <br />subdivisions to provide proportional voting, on the motion of <br />Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, carried <br />5:0 unanimously. The resolution further suggests that the <br />proposed amendment be considered at the September 1978 State- <br />wide Conference.
