VAN NESS <br />PLANNING COMMISSION DENIAL <br />DENIED APPEAL <br /> <br />Notice of Exemption and Appeal No. <br /> <br /> Mayor Evans announced that <br /> this was the time and place <br /> for the continuation of <br /> the public hearing, from <br />the July 11 meeting, on <br />392, filed by Woodrow and Anne <br /> <br />Seabaugh, of the Planning Commission denial of Conditional Use <br />Permit No. 78-12 on June 12, 1978; that the CUP application had <br />been filed to allow for the conversion of twelve apartment units <br />to condominiums at 1530-1534 North Van Ness Avenue in the R3H <br />District; that the hearing had been opened and testimony taken <br />from the proponents and opponents at the July 11 Council meeting; <br />that he and Councilman Ortiz had been absent from the July 11 <br />meeting; that both of them had listened to the taping of the <br />hearing and had examined all the papers, records and documents <br />pertaining to the matter and had filed a certification to that <br />effect with the Clerk of the Council. There were no further <br />speakers on the matter, and the Mayor closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Council approved and filed the Notice of Exemption and directed <br />the City Attorney to prepare a resolution denying Appeal No. 392 <br />and Conditional Use Permit 78-12, affirming the decision of the <br />Planning Commission, by unanimous informal agreement, after <br />Councilman Garthe's motion, seconded by Mayor Evans, to grant <br />the Appeal and the CUP failed on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Garthe, Evans <br />NOES: Ward, Brandt, <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Yamamoto, <br /> <br />Ortiz, Bricken <br /> <br />CA 13.4 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Mayor Evans announced <br />WEED ABATEMENT - 1978 SPRING PROGRAM that this was the time <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-102 - ADOPTED and place for the public <br /> hearing of the 1978 Spring <br />Weed Abatement Program to hear all objections to the program <br />from property owners liable to be assessed for the abatement. <br /> <br />Taking excerpts from a report dated July 24, 1978, prepared by <br />Reagan J.
