ABC APPLICATION Council took no action <br />1521 N. HARPER STREET on the following Alcoholic <br />NO ACTION Beverage Control Applica- <br /> tion, when Councilman <br />Ward's motion to receive and file the Staff report, seconded <br />by Councilman Brandt, failed to carry on a 3:1 vote, with <br />Councilman Yamamoto dissenting: <br /> <br />ANWILER, Mary Pembroke - 1521 North Harper <br />Street, person-to-person transfer, Type "40" <br />on-sale beer. (Agenda Item 4C) <br /> <br />CA 146 <br /> <br />ABC APPLICATION <br />201 & 203 E. FOURTH STREET <br />RECEIVED & FILED <br /> <br />on the motion of Councilman Ward, <br />moto, carried 4:0: <br /> <br /> Council received and filed <br /> the Staff report of the <br /> following Alcoholic Bever- <br /> age License Application, <br />seconded by Councilman Yama- <br /> <br />SUAREZ, Antonio M. 201 & 203 East Fourth Street <br />Original Type "41" on-sale beer and wine, bona <br />fide public eating place. PROTEST - Police. <br />(Agenda Item 4J) CA 146.1 <br /> <br />Prior to the motion, Steven Knoblock, Attorney, 1600 North <br />Broadway, spoke on behalf of the Applicant. He stated that <br />the Restaurant, Siete Mares, has no bar and is being planned <br />as a part of the shopping center (El Mercado); that a high <br />quality restaurant would upgrade and improve the area and <br />serve the downtown business people as well as the residents. <br /> <br />Police Chief Raymond Davis orally summarized his report dated <br />November 7, 1978, supporting a protest of the application <br />based on an undue concentration of establishments with ABC <br />licenses in the downtown area. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1460 AN ORDINANCE OF THE <br />RETIREMENT EXCLUSIONS CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />2ND READING; ADOPTED ADDING SECTION 9-20 TO <br /> THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE TO IDENTIFY THE PERSONS EXCLUDABLE FROM RETIREMENT PLANS <br />UNDER SECTION 1400 OF THE CITY CHARTER AS AMENDED AT THE <br />SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF JUNE 6, 1978 was placed on <br />second reading and adopted unanimously 4:0, on the motion <br />of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto. CA 129 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1461 AN ORDINANCE OF THE <br />COMMUNITY ANTENNA TELEVISION CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />2ND READING; ADOPTED AMENDING ARTICLE II <br /> OF CHAPTER iS OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO REVISE THE REGULATIONS PERTAIN- <br />ING TO FRANCHISES FOR COMMUNITY ANTENNA TELEVISION SYSTEMS <br />was placed on second reading and adopted on the unanimously <br />carried 4:0 motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman <br />Yamamoto. CA 130.4 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1462 Councilman Ward's motion <br />UNIFORM FIRE CODE to place the following <br />1ST READING; PUBLISH TITLE ordinance on first read- <br /> ing and authorize publica- <br />tion of title was seconded by Councilman Yamamoto.
