FLOWER ~ CONTINUED <br />FOR SIX MONTHS <br /> <br />399 <br /> <br />Planning Commission of Variance 77-33 <br />repair business in an existing service station at <br />Plower Street in the Ri District. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that <br />this was the time and <br />place for the public <br />hearing of Appeal No. 399 <br />of the revocation by the <br />to allow an automobile <br /> 1446 South <br /> <br />Senior Planner William Daugherty identified the property and <br />stated that on August 22, 1977 a variance was approved to <br />allow an addition to the existing service station to allow an <br />automobile repair garage to operate in the facility; that two <br />of the conditions of the variance were that any signs must be <br />approved by the Planning Department, and that there be no out- <br />side storage of vehicles or equipment on the premises; that <br />in June 1978 the Planning Department determined that numerous <br />vehicles had been stored outside on the property for a substan- <br />tial length of time; that Planning Commission hearings com- <br />menced on July 10, 1978 and were continued to July 24 and <br />September 11 to allow the applicant and property owner to <br />remove the vehicles; that on November 13, 1978 outside storage <br />of vehicles still existed, and the Planning Commission acted <br />to recommend revocation of the variance, disallowing the <br />garage operation. <br /> <br />The Acting Clerk of the Council reported there were no written <br />communications. <br /> <br />Michael Saba, owner of the garage, spoke in favor of the appeal <br />and in opposition to the revocation.
