MINUTES OF ~HE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF S~N~FA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />December 18, 1978 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, <br />22 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Vernon S. Evans. Council members present <br />were: Gordon Bricken, Vernon S. Evans, John Garthe, David F. Ortiz, James <br />E. Ward, and Harry K. Yamamoto. Councilman David L. Br~ndt was absent. <br />The following members of staff were present: City Attorney/Acting City <br />Manager Keith L. Gow, Assistant City Mannager Daniel E. Stone, Director of <br />Public Works John B. Stevens, Senior Planner William Daugherty, and Clerk <br />of the Council Diedre D. Lingenfelter. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Following the pledge of <br />allegiance to the flag, <br />the invocation was given <br />by Councilman Ortiz, <br /> <br />AGENDA ORDER Mayor Evans announced that the <br />MOBILE HOME PARK STUDY Human Relations Commission/ <br />CONTINUED 30 DAYS Housing Advisory Commission <br /> had requested an additional <br />thirty days to complete its study of the mobile home rent question referred <br />to them by Council; that there were a number of people in the Council Cham- <br />bers to speak on the matter; and that Council would act on the matter first <br />on the agenda. <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Garthe, seconded by Yamamoto, to grant the extension of <br />thirty days for the report on the mobile home park rent question by the <br />Human Relations Commission/Housing Advisory Commission. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Bricken, Evans, Garthe, Ortiz, Ward, Yamamoto <br />None <br />Brandt <br /> <br />Earl Lane, Golden State Mobile Homeowners League Director, 760-125 West Lomita, <br />Fmrbor City, submitted ordinances from the cities of Vacaville, Rialto and <br />Clovis for consideration by the Commission. Mayor Evans stated that copies <br />of the Commission interim report would be available for review in the office <br />of the Clerk of the Council, and that the Commission would be holding public <br />hearings in the near future to receive comments. At 2:28 p.m. the <br />Council members present. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR Item 4K was removed from the <br />ITEMS RI~VED & Consent Calendar by Bricken; <br />DISSt~WTING VOTES Items 4F and 4G by Yamamoto, <br /> and Item 4H by Evans.
