Following the pledge of allegiance to the flag, the invocation <br />was given by David Hutson, assistant pastor of the Baptist Fellowship Church. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - INITIAL STUDY NO. 78-255 The public hearing to consider <br />PROHIBITED PARKING IN YARD AREAS the initial study No. 78-255, <br />CONTINUED TO JANUARY 8~ 1979 Negative Declarations and pro- <br /> posed ordinance to specify the <br />yard areas which may not be used for off-street parking or storage of per- <br />somml property, was opened by the Mayor. <br /> <br />At the request of staff, MOTION was made by Ward, seconded by Yamamoto, to <br />continue the public hearing to January 8, 1979, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Bricken, Evans, Garthe, Ortiz, Ward, Yamamoto <br />None <br />Brandt <br /> <br />CA 78 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - PROPOSED Ordinance No. NS-1466, amend- <br />ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE lng Sections 5-1 through 5-67 <br />CONTINUED TO JANUARY 8, 1979 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br /> relating to Animal Control, <br />continued from December 4, 1978, was before the Council for consideration. <br />Mayor Evans announced a request had been received to continue the matter to <br />the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Yamamoto, seconded by Garthe, to continue Ordinance No. <br />NS-1466 to January 8, 1979. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Bricken, Evans, Garthe, Ortiz, Ward, Yamamoto <br />None <br />Brandt <br /> <br />CA 98 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - USE OF CD FUNDS Public hearing was opened to <br />RENOVATION OF BOOKMOBILE consider using $6,400 of <br />APPROVED Community Development Block <br /> Grant contingency funds for <br />renovation of the old bookmobile for use as a public information vehicle. <br /> <br />Mayor Evans requested staff to identify the property of issues and give staff <br />recommendation. Following staff report, the Clerk of the Council stated there <br />were no co~nunications, written or oral, to be presented. <br /> <br />Mayor Evans invited those in the audience wishing to speak in favor of or in <br />opposition to the proposal to address the Council.
