<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.9 3 - 14 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOP- <br />MENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING A TAX INCREMENT PASS-THROUGH <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE SANTA ANA UNIFIED <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT WITH REGARD TO THE SOUTH <br />MAIN STREET REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, section 33401, subsection (b), of the community <br />Redevelopment Law (California Health and Safety Code sections 33000 <br />et seq.) authorizes a redevelopment agency to pay any taxing agency <br />with territory located within a project area, other than the <br />community which adopted the project, any ~moun~s of money which the <br />agency has found are necessary and 'appropriate to alleviate <br />financial burden or detriment caused t;)' any taxing agency by a <br />redevelopment project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Unified School District is a taxing <br />agency with territory located in the project area of the Santa Ana <br />South Main Street Redevelopment Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Unified School District has submitted <br />substantial evidence to the Community Redevelopment Agency of the <br />City of Santa Ana of financial burden or detriment which has been <br />or will be caused to the Santa Ana Unified school District by the <br />Santa Ana South Main Street Redevelopment Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the Agency has prepared and <br />submitted to the Agency a proposed agreement for payments to the <br />Santa Ana Unified School District ,to alleviate such financial <br />burden or detriment (the "Agreement"); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. On the basis of the evidence submitted, the Agency finds <br />and determines that the Santa Ana South Main Street Redevelopment <br />Project has caused and will cause financial burden and detriment to <br />the Santa Ana Unified School District and that the payments to the <br />Santa Ana Unified School District by the Agency as provided for in <br />the Agreement are necessary to alleviate the financial burden and <br />detriment. <br /> <br />2. The Agreement is hereby approved and the Chairman is <br />authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the Agency. <br /> <br />1 <br />
