. . . JWF:4116ß7 RESOLUTION NO. 97-5 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter referred to as the "Agency") is engaged in activities necessary to execute and implement the Redevelopment Plan for the Central city Redevelopment Project Area (the Redevelopment Plan"); and, WHEREAS, in furtherance of the Redevelopment Plan the Agency proposes to acquire certain property in the Project Area from the State of California (the "State"), identified as Director's Deed Nos. 073158-01-01, 0731155-01-01 and 073153-01-01 (the "Caltrans Parcels"), to be utilized for public purposes of the Agency; and, WHEREAS, the State has offered to sell the Caltrans Parcels to the Agency for an aggregate purchase price not more than of $1,500,000, financed on terms of 30% down payment and the balance payable over 5 years. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. Agency Counsel is directed to prepare, and the Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Agency purchase and sale agreements with the State of California for the abovementioned parcels for terms substantially consistent with those set forth above and in the staff report. 2. The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized to take all steps, and to sign all documents and instruments, necessary to implement and carry out the purchase of the Caltrans Parcels on behalf of the Agency, including execution of security agreements securing the obligations to purchase the Caltrans Parcels with Agency-owned property.
