The staff report was given by the Assistant Planner. <br /> <br />The Clerk reported there were no written commmications. <br /> <br />William C. Holzwarth, Attorney, 4350 Von Karman, Newport Beach, spoke <br />in favor of the Appeal, representing Mr. and Mrs. Ken Foster, owners. <br /> <br />In order to comply with Planning Comnission requirements, he stated they <br />were willing to meet the additional requirements, and offered to set <br />aside 20% of the total traits for purchase by non-resident investors <br />so that such units would be available as rental units. <br /> <br />Speakers in opposition to the Appeal were: <br /> <br />Paul Cornish, 2221 B. Lenita Lane, #16 <br />Abraham Pariser, 2221 E. Lenita Lane, #18 <br /> <br />Mr. Cornish presented a petition containing eleven signatures in opposition. <br /> <br />There were no other speakers. The Mayor closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />FDTtON was made by Yamamoto to approve and file the Notice of Ex~nption <br />and adopt a resolution to deny Conditional Use Permit 78-20, affirming <br />the decision of the Planning Commission.
