<br />. <br /> <br />4Þ <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />August 28, 1974 <br /> <br />Amendments to the <br />Agreements between <br />Agency and Kennard, <br />Delahousie & Gault <br />architecture and planning consultants; and Larry Smith and <br />Company, Inc., economic consultant; for additional services <br />related to revision of Project Area boundaries, were considered. <br /> <br />AMENDMENTS TO <br />AGREEMENTS <br />KDG & LARRY SMITH <br /> <br />Councilman Griset's motion to approve $3,900 for services by <br />Kennard, Delahousie & Gault; and $2,000 for changes and additions <br />to economic report and $6,000 to $8,000 for future feasibility <br />studies as necessary by Larry Smith and Company, Inc., which were <br />approved and recommended by the Redevelopment Commission, was <br />seconded by Councilman Ward, and carried unanimously. (6-0) <br /> <br />DOYLE COMPANY <br />PROPOSAL <br /> <br />Mr. Mike Doyle's <br />request to be granted <br />exclusive rights to <br />negotiate transit <br />Session by unanimous <br /> <br />terminal hotel was deferred to Executive <br />informal consent. <br /> <br />The Executive Di recto r <br />reported orally on the <br />proposed expansion of <br />Project Area Boundaries <br />to include Fashion Square. He stated Mr. Erickson has requested <br />a letter granting exclusive rights to negotiate with prospective <br />sellers in the existing Fashion Square shopping center; however, <br />Mr. Goblirsch suggested it would be desirable to have some written <br />commitments before such letter is authorized. <br /> <br />ORAL REPO RT <br />STATUS OF ERICKSON CO. <br />NEGOTIATIONS <br /> <br />Agency and Staff dis- <br />cussed land use alter- <br />natives and problems <br />related to construc- <br />tion of Civic Center Drive East in the Logan Area, and access to <br />the downtown redevelopment area, which were summarized in the <br />report dated August 8,1974 from the Director of Planning entitled <br />"Status of the Logan Area Study," with attachments. <br /> <br />Agency approved the following policy guidelines, on motion of <br />Commissioner Griset, seconded by Commissioner Ward, and unanimously <br />carried (6-0): <br /> <br />LOGAN AREA STUDY <br /> <br />, 1) <br /> <br />Extension of Civic Center Drive East in accordance <br />with the General Plan (adopted by Council Resolu- <br />tion No. 66-30 on February 21,1966), with considera- <br />tion given to an adequate interconnection between <br />Santa Ana Boulevard and Civic Center Drive East; <br /> <br />Development of a balanced land use scheme for the <br />Logan Area; <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Adoption of an action program for rehabilitation <br />and revitalization of Logan Area residential land <br />uses. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
