<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REAL ESTATE CONSULTANT <br /> <br />The Executive Director requested authorization to seek a replace- <br />ment for the position of land acquisition officer to carryon <br />day to day acquisition activities. This position would be supple- <br />mented with a disposition consultant who could be called on as <br />the Director required. A motion was made by Mr. Ward, seconded <br />by Mr. Evans and qarried unanimously to continue the recommendation <br />for 30 days. <br /> <br />DEMOLITION CONTRACT <br /> <br />Preparations for the bidding documents for the demolition con- <br />tractor to remove the eight existing housing units on the Senior <br />Citizens Housing Site directly south of Birch Park have been <br />completed. Advertising to receive bids from qualified demoli- <br />tion contractors will open shortly. A motion was made by Mr. <br />Ward, seconded by Mr. Yamamoto and carried unanimously to receive <br />and file the information on the demolition schedule for the Senior <br />Citizens site. <br /> <br />KRAMER BUILDING <br /> <br />The Executive Director reported that no response has been received <br />from Mr. Banks regarding his property at 510 North Main Street. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Evans, seconded by Mr. Ward and carried <br />unanimously to authorize the Executive Director to get an appraisal <br />on the property and to make an offer to the owners of 510 N. <br />Main. <br /> <br />DRAPER AND KRAMER <br /> <br />The Executive Director reported that there was nothing new to <br />report on the Draper and Kramer development at Fashion Square. <br /> <br />PROMOTIONAL BROCHURE <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Ward, seconded by Mr. Yamamoto and car- <br />ried unanimously that the Agency provide funds of approximately <br />$5000 for the development of a promotional brochure on the Civic <br />Center. <br /> <br />SPECIAL COUNSEL AGREEMENT <br /> <br />The Agency has an agreement with Gene Jacobs for Agency's special <br />counsel consultation. Mr. Jacobs has set up a professional corpo- <br />ration and all of his clientele has now been assigned to a pro- <br />fessional corporation. The agreement provides for an agreement <br />between the Redevelopment Agency and the professional corporation <br />headed by Gene Jacobs, rather than an agreement between the Agency <br />and Gene Jacobs personally. A motion was made by Mr. Evans, <br />seconded by Mr. Ward and carried unanimously to approve the <br />revised special counsel agreement for legal services. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A recommendation was made by the Agency to post signs in the <br />downtown redevelopment project area signifying the type of devel- <br />opment to be done.
