<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />AUGUST 23, 1977 <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency was <br />called to order by Chairman David Brandt at 5:08 P.M. in the <br />City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, <br />California. Goblirsch, Executive Director <br />Susan Shick, Assistant to Executive Director <br />Tom Hammill, Real Estate Agent <br />Stacey Creveston, Secretary <br />Susan Fair, Administrative Assistant <br />Ron Wolford, Assistant City Manager <br />Keith Gow, City Attorney <br />John Dykstra, Forestrong Development Company <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on July 26,1977 were <br />approved upon the motion of Mr. Ortiz, seconded by Mr. Ward and <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - ON THE NEED AND NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE BY <br />CONDEMNATION FOR REDEVELOPMENT PURPOSES, PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />602 WEST SECOND, 510 NORTH MAIN STREET AND 114 NORTH PARTON <br /> <br />The Chairman of the Community Redevelopment Agency announced <br />that this was the time and place for the public hearing on the <br />need and necessity to acquire by condemnation property located <br />at 602 W. Second, 114 N. Parton, and 510 N. Main Street for <br />redevelopment purposes. <br /> <br />The Executive Director stated that the material on the <br />properties in question was included in each members agenda <br />packet, and that the building reports for 602 W. Second and 114 <br />N. Parton were in the Agency's office for review. The building <br />report on 510 N. Main was included in the agenda packet. The <br />Executive Director reported that the building condition repor~s <br />did find that each of the properties contained serious health, <br />safety and environmental deficiencies. <br /> <br />The Executive Director reported that staff has attempted to <br />make contact with the property owners of 510 N. Main for well <br />over a year but have not had any response from them. The <br />Executive Director reported that 602 W. Second and 114 N. Parton <br />were properties located within the 14 acre housing site and that <br />the Aqency is obligated to acquire the property pursuant to the <br />Contract of Sale dated May 2,1977. The Executive Director reported <br />that staff has not been able to successfully negotiate with the <br />owners, and that the Agency must meet its time schedule with <br />the developer. <br />
