<br />, . <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />SEPTEMBER 15, 1980 <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency of <br />the Ci ty of San ta Ana was called to order by Cha irman Rober t <br />Luxembourger at 1:09 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 22 <br />Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California. After the pledge <br />to the Flag and the Invocation given by Mr. Yamamoto, roll <br />was called: <br /> <br />PRESENT <br /> <br />ABSENT <br /> <br />Daniel Griset <br />Robert Luxembourger <br />J. Odgen Markel <br />James Ward <br />Harry Yamamoto <br /> <br />Al Serra to <br />Gordon Br icken <br /> <br />Others in Attendance: <br /> <br />David N. Ream, Executive Director <br />Thomas E. Hammill, Agency Real Estate <br />A. J. Wilson, City Manager <br />Edward J. Cooper, City Attorney <br />Laura Garcia, Secretary <br /> <br />Officer <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT RESOLUTION DIRECTING CONDEMNATION OF <br />PROPERTY WITHIN THE DOWNTOWN PARKING GARAGE SITE <br /> <br />Chairman Luxembourger asked Mr. Cooper if he would please <br />s ta te the requiremen ts of the Sta te redevelopmen t law for <br />condemnation action regarding the necessary number of votes. <br />Mr. Cooper stated that condemnation takes a 2/3 affirmative <br />vote of the members of the Agency. <br /> <br />Chairman Luxembourger then asked the Agency members if they <br />had any comments or questions that they would like to ask. <br />There being no comments or questions, Chairman Luxembourger <br />opened the Public Hearing to adopt Resolution 80-101 to <br />direct the condemnation of certain real property for <br />redevelopment purposes in the Downtown Parking Garage site. <br /> <br />Mr. Ward s ta ted tha t he fel t tha tat th is time the Agency <br />would invite a motion to continue the Public Hearing. <br />Chairman Luxembourger asked Staff if they had anything to <br />say about this. Mr. Ream stated that he wished that the <br />item be continued to October 6,1980 at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Ream <br />also stated that Item lA and Item lB (Public Hearing to <br />Adopt Resolution directing condemnation of property within <br />the Downtown Parking Garage) represent the last two parcels <br />to acquire for the Downtown Parking Garage Site. <br /> <br />After lengthy discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Yamamoto, <br />seconded by Mr. Ward and carried unanimously that the public <br />hearing to adopt Resolution 80-101 directing condemnation of <br />property within the Downtown Parking Garage Site be <br />continued to October 6,1980. <br />
