A motion was <br />made by Mr. Bricken, seconded by Mr. Luxembourger and carried by <br />the following roll call vote to adopt Resolution 80-20: A <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT TO THE CONSIDERATION <br />TO BE RECEIVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA PURSUANT TO A DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AND SANTA ANA CITY EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION FOR THE SALE AND <br />DEVELOPMENT OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE SANTA ANA REDEVELOPMENT <br />PROJECT; APPROVING THE PROPOSED SALE OF SAID REAL PROPERTY; AND <br />APPROVING THE DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT PERTAINING <br />THERETO. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAINED: <br /> <br />Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Serrato, Yamamoto <br />Markel <br />None <br />Ward <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Bricken, seconded by Mr. Luxembourger and <br />carried by the following roll call vote to adopt the budget and <br />authorize its implementation by the Community Redevelopment <br />Commission. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAINED: <br /> <br />Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Serrato, Yamamoto <br />Markel <br />None <br />Ward <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED SALE BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY TO STEPHEN LAWRENCE PHILIPSON, AN INDIVIDUAL, AND <br />ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS RELATED THERETO <br /> <br />The Vice Chairman announced that this was the time and place for <br />the joint public hearing of the Community Redevelopment Agency and <br />the City Council of the City of Santa Ana for the proposed sale of <br />property by the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa <br />Ana to Stephen L. Philipson and environmental findings in relation <br />thereto. <br /> <br />The Vice Chairman requested that staff identify the property or <br />issues and give staff recommendation. The Agency's Real Estate <br />Officer reported that the site is bounded on the north by Santa Ana <br />Boulevard, on the west by Flower, on the south by Third Street and <br />on the east by a line approximately 150 feet east of Flower; the <br />development site consists of eight parcels containing vacant lots, <br />and older frame residential and commercial, including a bar and <br />pool hall and bail bond office; proposed deyelopment will include a <br />two story frame building, to be law office, containing <br />approximately 15,000 square feet with interior courtyard and <br />surface parking to accommodate 50 automobiles; estimated <br />development cost is approximately $1,500,000. Staff recommends <br />approval of the two resolutions and the proposed budget. <br /> <br />There were no written communications. The Vice Chairman then <br />requested to hear from the public in agreement with the <br />environmental findings or the proposed sale. Mr. Rudy Montejano, <br />1600 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, representing the developer, stated <br />that they were in agreement with the proposed findings and proposed <br />sale, and thanked the members of the Redevelopment staff for their <br />assistance. <br /> <br />If) <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br />-.J <br />
