A motion was made by Mrs. <br />McGuigan, seconded by Mr. Acosta and carried unanimously to <br />continue the public hearing until September 21,1982. <br /> <br />Agency member Griset arrived at 5:52 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING TO <br />THE SALE OF REAL <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR <br />PROPERTY WITH ORANGE COUNTY TRANSIT <br /> <br />vice Chairman Luxembourger announced that this was the time <br />and place for the joint public hearing of the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency and the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana for the proposed sale of property by the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa to the Orange <br />County Transit District, bounded on the north by Santa Ana <br />Boulevard, on the west by Ross Street, on the south by Fifth <br />Street, and on the east by Broadway Street excepting the <br />easterly 335 feet. <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Luxembourger requested that Staff identify the <br />property or issues and give staff recommendation. Mr. <br />Thomas E. Hammill, Assistant Director of Redevelopment and <br />Real Estate, reviewed the staff report and presented staff's <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />The Vice Chairman announced that the Agency would now like <br />to hear from those people who desired to address the Agency <br />on this issue. He added that if anyone desired to address <br />the Agency, they should step forward to the podium, give <br />their name and address and limit their comments to five <br />minutes. vice Chairman Luxembourger requested to hear from <br />those persons in agreement and disagreement with the <br />proposed sale. There being none, he asked if there were any <br />additional comments from staff, or if the Agency members had <br />any questions. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Mrs. McGuigan, Mr. Hammill <br />stated that the aforementioned easterly 335 feet was the <br />property currently occupied by the OCTD Park-And-Ride <br />structure. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Mack, representing the Orange County Transit <br />District, addressed the Agency stating that the Orange <br />County Transit District was going to award a construction <br />contract on September 9,1982. <br /> <br />Mr. Mack and Community Development Staff members responded <br />to Agency members questions. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
