MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED <br />REGULAR & REGULAR MEETINGS <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH~ <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />October 15, 1979 <br /> <br />The Adjourned Regular Meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by Mayor <br />James E. Ward in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Council <br />members present were Gordon Bricken, Daniel E. Griset, R. W. Luxembourger, <br />J. Ogden Markel, Alfred C. Serrate, Harry K. yamamoto, and Mayor Ward. <br />Also present were staff members City Manager B. J. Thompson, City Attorney <br />Keith L. Gow, and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />INVOCATION <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />given by Councilman. Markel. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />Mayor Ward administered the Oath <br />of Office to Janice C. Guy, Clerk <br />of the Council. <br /> <br />JOINT PUBLIC HEARING <br />COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />SALE OF PROPERTY - VAN INGEN & <br />VAN RUITEN - RES. 79-182 & 79-183 <br />ADOPTED <br /> <br />Mayor/ChairmanWard opened the <br />joint public hearing of the City <br />Council and Community Redevelop- <br />ment Agency for the proposed sale <br />of property bounded by Fourth <br />Street on the north, vacated Van <br /> <br />Ness on the west, Third Street on the south, and realigned Ross Street on <br />the east, by the Community Redevelopment Agency to Warren K. Van Ingen, <br />Pete Van Ruiten and Mary Van Ruiten for development of a four-story medical/ <br />dental office building. <br /> <br />The Associate Real Property Agent for the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />displayed maps of the property proposed to be sold by the Agency and <br />described the proposed development. <br /> <br />~he Clerk of the Council reported there were no written cmmmmications. <br /> <br />There were no speakers for or against the proposed sale. The Mayor/Chairman <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Following action taken by the Community Redevelopment Agency, MOTION was made <br />by Griset, seconded by Bricken, to adept the following resolution: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO.' 79-182 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SANTA ANAMAKING ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS NECESSARY <br /> FOR THE PROPOSED PARTICIPATION AGREtlMBNT BETWEEN THE CO~X~I~ITY <br /> REDEVBLOPMENTAGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA B_NAANDWARREN K. <br /> VAN ING~N A~D PETE VAN RUITEN AND MARY VAN RUITEN FOR THE SALE <br /> AND DEVELOPMENT OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE SANTA ANA <br /> REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br /> <br />BRICK~N, GRISET, LUXEMBOURGER, SERRATO, WARD, YAMAMOTO <br />MARKEL <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Griset, seconded by Bricken, to adopt the following <br />resolution: <br /> <br />CITY CCUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />355 <br /> <br />OCTOBER 15, 1979 <br /> <br /> <br />
