<br />Frank Stern, Temple Beth Sholom, following the Pledge of Allegiance to the

<br />OPPORTUNITIES INDUSTRIALIZATION CENTER Director of OIC, presented
<br />MARSHALL NETTLES, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR "Positive Aspects of Opportunities
<br /> Industrialization Center of Orange
<br />County," describing the history, purpose, goals and accomplishments of the
<br />organization. Mr. Nettles thanked the Conncil for City CETA assistance in
<br />the past, and requested continuing City support. Mayor Ward presented a
<br />City emblem tile plaque to Mr. Nettles in appreciation to OIC for service
<br />to the conmmmity.

<br />PROCLAMATION The Mayor's proclamation pro-
<br />"LUNGS FOR LIFE" WEEK claiming the week from December 2
<br />TIM GBDDES, AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION through December 8, 1979, as "Lungs
<br /> for Life" Week was presented to
<br />Tim Geddes, Director of Public Affairs, American Lung Association of Orange
<br />County, by Councilman Markel.
