ORDINANCE NO. NS-1507 - SALE OF ALCCItOLIC BEVERAGES IN CO~RCIAL & INDUSTRIAL ZONES - ADOPTED The Mayor opened the public hearing for consideration of Notice of Exemption and Ordin- ance No. NS-1507. The staff report and recommendations were presented by the Planning Director. The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written co~m~mications. There were no speakers in favor of or in opposition to the proposed ordinance. The Mayor closed the public hearing. MOTION was made by Yamamoto, seconded by Bricken, to approve and file the Notice of Exemption and place the following ordinance on second reading and adopt: ORDINANCE NO. NS-1507 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTIONS 41-365, 41-377, 41-395, 41-412, 41-424, 41-442, 41-472, 41-489, 41-506, 41-521, 41-632, 41-638 AND 41-640 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE C~4ERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL ZONES. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Bricken, Luxembourger, Markel, Ward, Yamamoto None Griset, Serrato CA 78 A~ENDMENT APPLICATION '822 & VA 79-40 The Mayor opened the public 409 N. MOUNTAIN VIEW hearing for consideration of ORDINANCE NO. NS-1515 - 1ST READING Amendment Application No. 822 VA 79-40 - APPROVED to rezone property located on the east side of Mountain View Street from the A1 (General Agricultural) District to the R2 (Limited Multiple-Family Residence) District. The staff report and recommendations were presented by the Planning Director. The Clerk of the Council reported there were no written communications. Wesley R. Granger, 1221 Coyote Lane, Orange, representing Gary Peters, the applicant for VA 79-40 to construct a seven-unit condominium on a lot with an area in excess of one-half acre at 409 North MountainView Street in the R2 District, spoke in favor of the Amendment Application. There were no other speakers. The Mayor closed the public hearing. MOTION was made by Luxembourger, seconded by Markel, to 1) approve and file the Negative Declaration; 2) approve and file Planning Commission Finding of Fact on VA 79-40; and 3) place the following ordinance on first reading and authorize publication of title: ORDINANCE NO. NS-1515 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 822 TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF MOUNTAIN VIEW STREET BEI3VEEN FIRST AND FIFTH STREETS FROM THE A1 (GENERAL AGRICULTURE) DISTRICT TO THE R2 (14JLTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT AND AMENDING SECTIONAL MAP NO. 9-5-10.
