<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Cynthia Nelson, Executive Director/Community Development Agency, presented <br />oral responses to the written objections thst had been received from affected <br />property owners and taxing agencies. <br /> <br />Agency Member Norton made a motion which was seconded by Agency Member Acosta, <br />to reopen the public comment portion of the hearing, allowing five minutes for <br />each speaker and an unlimited number of speakers. <br /> <br />Agency Member McGuigan made a substitute motion, which was seconded by Agency <br />Member Griset to limit the discussion to one-half hour with three minutes <br />allotted per speaker. A roll call vote of the Redevelopment Agency was taken <br />on the substitute motion. It was approved by a vote of 4:3 (Agency Members <br />Acosta, Norton and Pulido voted "No") to reopen the public comment portion of <br />the hearing with the limitation of one-half hour with three minutes allotted <br />per speaker. <br /> <br />At 8:21 p.m., Chairmsn Young reopened the public hearing regarding the Bristol <br />Corridor Redevelopment Project Ares. Chairman Young advised the audience that <br />translators were present to assist in translating the proceedings into <br />Spanish, and outlined the procedures that were to be followed. <br /> <br />The following persons delivered comments regarding the Bristol Corridor <br />Redevelopment Plan: <br /> <br />Miles Leach, 2025 W. Bristol Street <br /> <br />The Chairman declared the public hearing closed at 8:46 p.m, <br /> <br />Commissioner Mack made a motion, which was seconded by Commissioner Alleman to <br />approve Resolution No. 89-11. <br /> <br />Commissioner Raya stated that more time should be allowed in order to hold the <br />public hearing in an adequate facility. CO8missioner Rsya made a substitute <br />motion to continue this item for two weeks; this motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Stiens. The substitute motion failed by roll call vote of 3:2 <br />(Commissioners Alleman, Mack, and Rosenow voted "No"). <br /> <br />-2- <br />
