<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />OCTOBER 16, 1990 <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency was called to order <br />at 5:40 p.m. by Vice Chairman Acosta in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center <br />Plaza, Santa Ana, California. Ream, City Manager <br />Edward Cooper, City Attorney <br />Debra Kurita, Assistant City Manager <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />It was moved by Agency Member McGuigan, seconded by Agency Member Pulido and <br />carried unanimously (5:0) that the Redevelopment Agency approve the minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency held September 18, <br />1990. <br /> <br />BID AWARD FOR RENOVATION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION OF THE BOWERS MUSEUM EXPANSION <br />PROJECT <br /> <br />Arthur Strock, Bowers Museum Board, briefly stated that the approval of this <br />item will begin the groundbreaking process for the Bowers Museum Expansion <br />project. <br /> <br />Responding to a question from Agency Member Acosta, Ms. Nelson commented that <br />the funds for this project will be obtained from a separate redevelopment fund <br />identified for the Bowers project. <br /> <br />After further discussion, it was moved by Agency Member Pulido, seconded by <br />Agency Member May and carried unanimously (5:0) that the Redevelopment Agency <br />award the bid, and authorize the Chairman and Executive Director to execute a <br />contract with Continental Heller Construction, the lowest responsive bidder, <br />in the amount of $5,795,000 for renovation and new construction of the Bowers <br />Museum. <br />
