<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Agency Member Griset arrived at 5:47 p.m. <br /> <br />BID SOLICITATION FOR STEAM CLEANING OF DOWNTOWN SIDEWALKS <br /> <br />Roger Kooi, Downtown Division Manager, gave a brief presentation on the status <br />of various maintenance-related activities in the Downtown area. <br /> <br />Agency Member Acosta commented that he had previously requested to be included <br />in the formulation of the vendor ordinance. He asked why he had not been <br />approached to review the proposed ordinance. David Ream, City Manager, stated <br />that at the present time, the ordinance is merely in draft form. He added <br />that before this item is brought before the Council, Agency Member Acosta will <br />have the opportunity to review this document. <br /> <br />Agency Member Acosta suggested that barricades be placed around the tree wells <br />in the Downtown area to ensure pedestrian safety. Mr. Kooi was asked to <br />notify the proper authority. <br /> <br />After further discussion, it was moved by Agency Member Pulido, seconded by <br />Agency Member May and carried unanil8Ously (6 :0) that the Redevelopment Agency <br />authorize the Purchasing Manager to advertise for bida for steam cleaning of <br />brick sidewalks, brick crosswalks and concrete curbing over an 87,OOO-square <br />foot area in Downtown Santa Ana, with service provided eight times over the <br />first year, and a possible one-year extension upon mutual agreement. <br /> <br />AGENCY SECRETARY REPORT <br /> <br />It was moved by Agency Member McGuigan, seconded by Agency Member Pulido and <br />carried unanimously (6:0) that the Redevelopment Agency instruct the Agency <br />Secretary to enter into the minutes: <br /> <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the Agenda for the August 21, <br />1990 Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was posted on the door of the <br />Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, at 11 a.m. on August 17, 1990. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />At 5:54 p.m., the Agency Secretary announced that the Redevelopment Agency was <br />recessing to Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(A) to <br />confer with its attorney regarding pending litigation which has been initiated <br />formally. and to which the Redevelopment Agency is a party. The title of the <br />litigation is CRA vs. Pacific Theaters, et al. <br /> <br />REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />The Agency Members reconvened in the Council Chambers at 6:01 p.m. with all <br />members present. <br /> <br />CRA vs <br /> <br />Pacific Theaters <br /> <br />et a1. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
