MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED <br /> REGULAR & REGULAR MEETINGS <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />January 21, 1980 <br /> <br />The Adjourned Regular Meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m. by Mayor <br />James E. Ward in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Council <br />members present were Daniel E. Griset (1:15 p.m.), R. W. Luxembourger, J. <br />Ogden Markel, Alfred C. Serrato, Harry K. Yamamoto, and Mayor Ward. <br />Councilman Gordon Bricken was absent. Also present were City Manager <br />Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney Keith L. Gow, and Deputy Clerk of the <br />Council Martha E. Lee. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />INVOCATION <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />given by Councilman Luxembourger. <br /> <br />JOINT PUBLIC HEARING <br />COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />SALE OF PROPERTY - CALIFORNIA <br />TEACHERS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION <br />RES. 80-17 & 80-18 - ADOPTED <br /> <br />Mayor/Chairman Ward opened the <br />joint public hearing of the City <br />Council and Community Redevelop- <br />ment Agency for the proposed sale <br />of property bounded by Santa Aha <br />Boulevard on the north, Broadway <br /> <br />on the west, Fifth Street on the south, and Sycamore on the east, by the <br />Community Redevelopment Agency to California Teachers Federal Credit <br />Union for the development of a commercial and office building. <br /> <br />The Associate Real Property Agent for the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />displayed maps of the property proposed to be sold by the Agency and <br />described the proposed development. <br /> <br />The Executive Director, Redevelopment & Housing, reported there were no <br />written communications. <br /> <br />There were no speakers for or against the proposed sale. The Mayor/ <br />Chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Following action taken by the Community Redevelopment Agency, MOTION was <br />made by Griset, seconded by Luxembourger, to adopt the following resolu- <br />tion: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-17 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA MAKING ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS NECESSARY <br />FOR THE PROPOSED DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AND CALIFORNIA TEACHERS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION FOR THE SALE AND <br />DEVELOPMENT OF THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE SANTA ANA <br />REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Griset, Luxembourger, Serrato, Ward, Yamamoto <br />Markel <br />Bricken <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Griset, seconded by Luxembourger, to adopt the follow- <br />ing resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-18 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT <br />TO THE CONSIDERATION TO BE RECEIVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVEL- <br />OPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND CALIFORNIA TEACHERS <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />JANUARY 21, 1980 <br /> <br /> <br />
