RESOLUTION NO. 80-29 - A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA MAKING <br />CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT TO THE CONSIDER- <br />ATION TO BE RECEIVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVEL- <br />OPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA PURSUANT <br />TO A PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COM- <br />MUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AND MOHLER-VISTA FOR THE SALE AND <br />DEVELOPMENT OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE <br />SANTA ANA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT; APPROVING THE <br />PROPOSED SALE OF SAID REAL PROPERTY; AND AP- <br />PROVING THE PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT PERTAINING <br />THERETO. <br /> <br />AYES: Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Serrato, Yamamoto <br />NOES: Markel <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED: Ward <br /> <br />CA 82.4 <br /> <br />JOINT PUBLIC HEARING Councilman/Vice Chairman <br />COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Griset opened the joint public <br />SALE OF PROPERTY - S.A.C.E.U. hearing of the City Council <br />RES. 80-30 & 80-31 - ADOPTED and Community Redevelopment <br /> Agency for the proposed sale <br />of property bounded by Santa Ana Boulevard on the north, a line approxi- <br />mately 150' east of Flower on the west, Third Street on the south, and <br />the east line of Garnsey on the east, by the Community Redevelopment <br />Agency to Santa Ana City Employees Credit Union for the development of <br />a single-story office structure. <br /> <br />The Associate Real Property Agent for the Community Redevelopment Agency <br />displayed maps of the property proposed to be sold by the Agency and <br />described the proposed development. <br /> <br />The Executive Director, Redevelopment & Housing, reported there were no <br />written communications. <br /> <br />Rudy Montejano, 1600 N. Broadway, spoke in favor of the proposed sale. <br /> <br />Mrs. Floyd Guzman, 805 W. Third Street, and Mrs. Crystal Conway, 809 W. <br />Third Street, requested infomation on relocation procedures for residents <br />who would be displaced by the project. The Associate Real Property <br />Agent explained that relocation of residents cannot commence until the <br />proposed sale of property has been approved by the Agency/Council. <br /> <br />Melvin Jones, 1115 S. Birch, spoke in opposition to the proposed sale. <br /> <br />Councilman/Vice Chairman Griset closed the public hearing.
