CHILDREN'S ZOO AGREEMENT In response to the City Manag- <br />REVENUE EXPENDITURE er's request for clarification <br />POLICY DEFINED of Council's intent relative <br /> to the manner in which revenues <br />received by the City from the Zoo (contained in paragraph 2C of the agree- <br />ment between the City and Friends of the Children's Zoo) may be expended, <br />the Council tacitly approved that such funds could be used for maintenance <br />and operation of the Zoo and were not strictly limited to use for capital <br />improvement projects in the Children's Zoo. <br /> <br />Additionally, the Council concurred that staff should proceed with planning <br />and construction of Zoo improvements, priorities 1-5, listed in the report <br />dated June 20, 1980, prepared by the Landscape Technician and report back <br />to Council on completion of said improvements. <br /> <br />BUDGET STUDY SESSION Council reviewed the Public <br />CONTINUED Works operating/capital, and <br /> Drainage Assessment capital <br /> budgets. In conjunction with <br />review of the Public Works budget, the following items were referred to <br />staff for investigation and report to Council at a later date: <br /> <br />1) Pilot project for street sweeping in residential areas; <br /> <br />2) Use of Utility User Tax revenues for repayment of bonds <br /> issued for capital improvement projects; and <br /> <br />3) "Creative" financing for capital improvement projects. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />By unanimous informal consent, <br />the Council adjourned at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />~O~LEICE C.
