MINUTES'OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />June 15, 1981 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice Mayor Luxembourger at 2:09 p.m. <br />in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers <br />present were John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden <br />Markel, Patricia A. McGuigan, and Alfred C. Serrato. Also present were <br />Assistant City Manager Rex Swanson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and <br />Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. Mayor Gordon Bricken was absent. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />given by Councilmember John Acosta. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />ITEMS REMOVED <br /> <br />The following items were removed from <br />the Consent Calendar: 3E, 3I, 8A, 8B, <br />8C, 12A, 12C, 12D, 12E, 12F, 13B(14), <br />16B and 16C. <br /> <br />Mr. Gregory Sanders, a member of the public, requested that Item 19C be re- <br />moved. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Acosta, seconded <br />by Griset, to approve the staff <br />recommendations on the following <br />Consent Calendar items: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, McGuigan, <br /> Serrato <br />None <br />Bricken <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Approved the Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting of May 18, 1981; the Special <br />Meeting of May 26, 1981; and the Reg- <br />ular Meeting of June 1, 1981. <br /> <br />BID CALLS <br /> <br />Approved plans and specifications and <br />authorized advertisement for bids on <br />the following: <br /> <br />PROJECTS 3031 & 8384 - Construction of Sanitary <br />Sewer in Third St. from Raitt to Western; and <br />Borchard from Rita Way to Spruce - Public Works. <br /> <br />PROJECT 8380 - Construction of Sanitary Sewer in <br />Bishop St. from Broadway to Orange Avenue - Public <br />Works. <br /> <br />PROJECT 8383 - Construction of Sewer in Wilshire <br />Avenue from Birch to Flower - Public Works. <br /> <br />CA 89 <br /> <br />BID AWARDS <br /> <br />Awarded the following in accordance <br />with summary of bid reports submitted: <br /> <br />SPEC 81-005 - One Computer Dispatching System - <br />Police; awarded to Byte Shop Placentia for One <br />Micro Computer, in the amount of $15,698.60; and <br />to Computerized Management Decisions, Inc., for <br />One Black & White Video Terminal with Advance Video <br />Feature and Two Character Printers, in the amount <br />of $6,428.90. <br /> <br />SPEC 81-008 - One Collator with Stitching Ability - <br />Finance/Central Services; awarded to A.
