Stone, 1709 W. Berkeley, <br />expressed his concern regarding <br />Variance No. 79-22 relative to <br />the lighting located on the <br />Salvation Arn~y's property. <br /> <br />Following discussion, decision was made by unanimous informal consent <br />to refer the matter to the City Manager for appropriate action. CA 29.3 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilmember Markel questioned <br />MARKEL - 1606 S. MAIN the legality and inspections pro- <br /> cess relative to the operation <br /> located at 1606 S. Main. The <br />Mayor related that the City Attorney had assured Council that the owners of <br />the operation are in compliance with all laws involved, and that a further <br />report is in progress. CA 78 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilmember Serrato requested <br />SERRATO - CATV that Council consider deleting <br />SECTION C.I.I. - DELETED question C.I.I. from the CATV <br /> questions, since he felt the <br />matter should be more appropriately pursued in negotiations with the fran- <br />chisee. <br /> <br />Following discussion, decision was made by unanimous informal consent to <br />approve the request. CA 130.4 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Councilmember Acosta requested <br />ACOSTA - BIDDING BY that the following suggestions <br />LOCAL FIRMS, DEPT. EVAL. be taken into consideration to <br />CARDS - REFERRED TO CM improve City processes and pro- <br /> cedures: 1) review of bidding <br />procedures to find a means to encourage more participation by local firms, <br />and 2) development of a department evaluation card for the public to com- <br />ment and make suggestions on City services. <br /> <br />Following discussion, decision was made by unanimous informal consent to <br />refer said suggestions to the City Manager. CA 89 <br /> CA 151 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION MOTION was made by Griset, <br />GRISET - EXPEDITE seconded by Luxembourger, to <br />TRANS.
