MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />October 15, 1981 <br /> <br />At 3:34 p.m., the adjourned regular meeting of the Santa Ana City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Bricken in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic <br />Center Plaza. Councilmembers present were John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, <br />R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden Markel, Patricia A. McGuigan, Alfred C. <br />Serrato, and Mayor Gordon Bricken. Also present were City Manager A. J. <br />Wilson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and Clerk of the Council Janice <br />C. Guy. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag, the Invocation was <br />given by Coun¢ilmember Luxembourger. <br /> <br />CATV FRANCHISE <br />NEGOTIATIONS - AUTHORIZED <br />WITH TELEPROMPTER <br /> <br />spective cable firms: <br /> <br />Following a brief recap by the City <br />Manager of the Cable TV selection <br />process, the following representa- <br />tives spoke on behalf of their re- <br /> <br />VerLyn Jensen <br />Fred Dressier, Vice-President <br /> <br />American Television of CA <br />1200 N. Tustin, #219 <br /> <br />Patrick Bresnan <br /> <br />Teleprompter of SA <br />4300 S. Campus Dr., Irv. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had no questions of the representatives. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 4:13 p.m., and reconvened at 4:23 p.m., with all <br />members present. <br /> <br />The Council then proceeded to vote by individual paper ballot for the <br />cable firm with which the City Manager would be authorized to begin <br />negotiations for a City Cable TV franchise.
