AUTHORIZED; MAYOR <br />AUTHORIZED; NAME REFERRED <br />TO FACILITY NAMING COMMITTEE <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Griset, <br />seconded by McGuigan, to approve <br />the following: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Authorize the Director of Finance to accept $26,000 <br />from the Friends of the Zoo, donated by ITT-CANNON <br />for the Zoo's Education Center Amphitheater; and to <br />place said monies in an interest bearing account for <br />90 days, (interest to accrue to the Grant) expending <br />same only for the Zoo's Education Center Amphitheater; <br /> <br />2) Authorize staff to commence design of this new facility <br /> and prepare Bid Call for Council approval; <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Authorize the Mayor to send a letter to the Friends of the <br />Zoo on behalf of the Council, thanking them for their part <br />in obtaining this Grant; and <br /> <br />4) Refer suggested name, ITT-CANNON Education Center, to the <br /> Facility Naming Committee for recommendation. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Acosta <br /> <br />RECESS <br />HSG.
