NOS. 82-33 THRU 82-39 <br />ADOPTED <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that this <br />was the time and place for the <br />public hearing of appeals of the <br />assessment in the matter of <br />Assessment District No. 245. <br /> <br />The Assistant Clerk of the Council announced that notices had been pub- <br />lished, posted and mailed, as prescribed by law, with affidavits on file <br />in the office of the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br />The Director of Public Works gave the staff report and recommendations. <br /> <br />The Assistant Clerk of the Council announced that there were four written <br />protests received, all relating to the inclusion of sidewalks in the <br />assessment. <br /> <br />There were no protests against Assessment District No. 245. Bill Larson, <br />13782 Loretta Drive, spoke in favor of the assessment district. Ina <br />Bliss, 1724 W. Santa Ana Boulevard, spoke with regard to the assessment <br />district. There were no other speakers on the matter. <br /> <br />The Mayor closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Following discussion, MOTION was made by Luxembourger, seconded by Acosta, <br />to adopt the following resolutions: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-33 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL ORDERING CERTAIN CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS <br />TO THE ENGINEER'S REPORT IN SPECIAL ASSESSMENT <br />DISTRICT NO. 245. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-34 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OVERRULING AND DENYING PROTESTS AND MAKING <br />CERTAIN FINDINGS IN SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT <br />NO. 245. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-35 - A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE <br />PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY <br />REQUIRE CERTAIN ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENTS, <br />AND THAT THE "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, <br />LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931" <br />SHALL NOT APPLY. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-36 - A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR <br />CONTRIBUTION TO PAY CERTAIN COSTS AND EXPENSES <br />IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 245. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />98 <br /> <br />MARCH 15, 1982 <br /> <br /> <br />
