MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />April 5, 1982 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gordon Bricken at 1:10 p.m., in <br />Room 147, Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present <br />were John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden Markel, <br />Patricia A. McGuigan, and Mayor Gordon Bricken. Also present were City <br />Manager A. J. Wilson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and Assistant Clerk <br />of the Council Nancy Byron Dean. <br /> <br />BUDGET PROGRAMMING The City Manager reviewed <br /> the City's budget as it has <br /> increased through the years, <br /> and the various budget programs <br />of the City. He also presented an overview of the Santa Ana Tomorrow <br />Conference II recently held at Santa Ana College, which included suggestions <br />made by citizens present at that meeting. <br /> <br />By unanimous informal consent, budget programming for fiscal year 1982-83 <br />was set for discussion on April 19, 1982. <br /> <br />At 1:56 p.m., Council recessed and reconvened in the Council Chambers at <br />2:05 p.m. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />INVOCATION <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag, the <br />Invocation was given by <br />Mayor Bricken. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR Item Nos. 3H, 8A, 12A, 12C, <br />ITEMS REMOVED 15, & 16B were removed from <br /> the Consent Calendar. <br /> Councilmember McGuigan <br />abstained from voting on the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 1, <br />1982, and the Adjourned Regular Meeting of March 8, 1982. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />Calendar items: <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Acosta, <br />seconded by Luxembourger, to <br />approve staff recommendations <br />on the following Consent <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, McGuigan <br />None <br />Serrato <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 102 April 5, 1982 <br /> <br /> <br />
