MOTION was made by Acosta, seconded by Luxembourger, to receive and <br />file a letter dated April 19, 1982, Mr. Scott read to Council regarding <br />Assessment District 246. <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Bricken, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, <br /> McGuigan, Serrato <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />The City Attorney stated that, in his opinion, halting construction of the <br />garage could deleteriously impact the City's bonding capacity. Various <br />staff members answered questions posed by Council. CA 90 <br /> <br />At 10:47 p.m., Council recessed to Executive Session, and reconvened at <br />11:02 p.m. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Councilmember Serrato inquired <br />COUNCILMEMBERS as to the possibility of using <br /> the City Redevelopment lot at <br /> First and Broadway for parking <br />until the AD 246 structure is completed. The Redevelopment Director <br />stated this would be possible with some temporary improvements, such as <br />asphalt or oiling the surface. <br /> <br />Harry Greenberg addressed Council, stating the temporary use of this lot for <br />parking would greatly help the downtown merchants. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />By unanimous informal consent, <br />Council adjourned at 11:12 p.m. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />134 APRIL 19, 1982 <br /> <br /> <br />
