Councilmember Acosta reported on a article he read about SWAT teams, and <br />wanted to know if Santa Ana had a SWAT team. The City Manager reported <br />that Santa Ana did have one. Councilmember Acosta requested an overview <br />of its activities from the Police Department. Guy, <br />Clerk of the Council, proclaiming <br />May 10-15, 1982, as "Municipal <br />Clerks' Week." <br /> <br />Councilmember Serrato presented a proclamation to Elmer Christenson, Chair- <br />man, Senior Citizen's Center Advisory Board, proclaiming the month of May, <br />1982, as "Older American Month." <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Luxembourger presented a proclamation to Division Chief J. D. <br />Dalton, Santa Ana Fire Department, proclaiming May 8, 1982, as "Fire Service <br />Recognition Day." CA 46 <br /> <br />COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Michele Legacy, Co-editor, and <br />ROADRUNNER STAFF - Carol Hagg, Newspaper Advisor, <br />SADDLEBACK HIGH SCHOOL representing the Roadrunner <br /> staff of Saddleback High School, <br />were presented with a City Seal Tile plaque and "I Love Santa Ana" buttons <br />for the Roadrunner staff, by Councilmember McGuigan in recognition of the <br />staff's having received the Medalist Award Rating from the Columbia <br />Scholastic Press Association of Columbia University, New York, for ten <br />consecutive years.
