ORAL COMMUNICATION The City Manager reported <br />CITY MANAGER that the City of Santa Aha <br /> had just received the rating <br /> of Class No. I - the highest <br />fire safety rating in the United States, and commended the Fire Department <br />and Fire Chief for making this possible. <br /> <br />Councilmember Luxembourger suggested that former Santa Ana Fire Chiefs <br />be contacted in order to afford them recognition. CA 64 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Barbara Antoci, Bruce Metal and <br />BARBARA ANTOCI Salvage, 920 E. Sixth Street, <br />REFERRED TO STAFF addressed Council regarding the <br /> City's alarm ordinance and a <br />problem with the City's burglar alarm system billing process. <br /> <br />Following discussion, MOTION was made by McGuigan, seconded by Acosta, to <br />refer the matter to staff for investigation. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, McGuigan <br />None <br />Bricken, Serrato <br /> <br />CA 47 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION <br />RALPH ALLEN <br /> <br />City projects. <br /> <br />Ralph Allen addressed Council <br />and requested that he be <br />considered for architectural <br />services with regard to future <br /> CA 89.1 <br /> <br />Council recessed at 4:31 p.m., and reconvened at 4:41 p.m., with the same <br />members present. <br /> <br />AMTRAK STATUS REPORT The Director of Transportation <br /> introduced Dick Thompson, <br /> President of Archiplan, who <br /> presented a status report on <br />the design concepts of the proposed Santa Aha Intercity Commuter Station, <br />and gave a slide presentation depicting historic and present structures <br />of various railroad stations around the country. <br /> <br />Mr. Thompson and members of City staff answered various questions posed <br />by Council. <br /> <br />Sam Romero, 2034 S. Spruce, Logan neighborhood representative, and Fred <br />Guedea, 1002 N. Lincoln, addressed Council in favor of the Amtrak station. <br /> CA 84.6 <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />Santa Aha. <br /> <br />At 5:30 p.m., Council recessed <br />to dinner with the Human Relations/ <br />Housing Commission at Casa <br />Vallarta, 2201E.
