The proposed project is consistent with the City's General Plan and would not exceed the population and growth projections for the City. Less Than Significant Impact As mentioned previously, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) regulates air quality in the South Coast Air Basin. The South Coast Air Basin is currently a non-attainment area for carbon monoxide, ozone, particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide. The SCAQMD considers an a~r quality impact to be significant if it exceeds the thresholds identified below. However, mobile emissions generated by the proposed project are expected to be less than significant. A relatively minor amount of gaseous emissions would also occur from natural gas and electricity usage. Less than significant long-term air quality impacts are anticipated to occur.
