RECESS At 5:45 p.m., Council recessed <br />DINNER to dinner with Inter-County <br />RECONVENED Airport Authority representatives <br /> and Bob Haskell of the Orange <br />County League of California Cities at Captain's Broiler, 2421N. Grand <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />The meeting was reconvened in the Council Chambers at 7:47 p.m., with <br />the same members present. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Following the Pledge of Alle- <br />giance, the Invocation was given <br />Reverend Juan Caboboy, St. <br />Anne's Church. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Rhonda Satterlee, representing <br />O.C. COMM. DEV. COUNCIL the Orange County Community <br /> Development Council, presented <br /> an overview of the organization, <br />which provides food, health care, housing, senior citizen transportation, <br />and technical assistance to low-income residents. Councilmember John <br />Acosta presented the agency with a City Seal tile plaque in recognition of <br />the services provided to the citizens of Santa Ana. CA 9.4 <br /> <br />APPEAL NO. 465 - VA 82-5 Following consideration of a <br />400 N. TUSTIN AVE. written communication from Western <br />CONT'D TO 9/7/82 National Bank requesting a con- <br /> tinuance of Appeal No. 465, filed <br />by Western National Bank, appealing the Planning Commission's denial of <br />Variance No. 82-5, to permit an additional exterior sign on the building <br />parapet modifying VA 80-61 and exceeding both the number and coverage <br />requirements of the Limited Professional District, MOTION was made by <br />Markel, seconded by Acosta, to continue action on Appeal No. 465 to <br />September 7, 1982. <br /> <br />Motion passed on the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, Serrato <br />None <br />Bricken, McGuigan <br /> <br />CA 13.3 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Following consideration of a <br />APPEAL NO. 467- VA 82-6 written communication from <br />2202 W. 5TH STREET Rodolfo Montejano requesting <br />CONT'D TO 9/7/82 a continuance of Appeal No. 467, <br /> filed by California Towing, <br />appealing the Planning Commission's conditional approval of Variance No. <br />82-6, to permit a towing operation, impound yard, and auto body shop in <br />the M1 District, MOTION was made by Serrato, seconded by Markel, to <br />continue the public hearing to September 7, 1982. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />290 <br /> <br />AUGUST 16, 1982 <br /> <br /> <br />
