SPOT CLEANING BUILDING SURFACES <br /> <br />Use a sponge, clean cloth, abrasive pad, spray bottle of detergent solution, glass cleaner, <br />or creme cleanser to remove smudges, fingerprints, marks, streaks, tape, etc., from the <br />surface ofledges, windows, partition glass, window sills, fire extinguishers, counter tops, <br />walls, doors, door frames and sills, pictures, partitions, rails, and other type of fixtures <br />and surfaces, which are not considered to be furniture surfaces or specialty equipment <br />such as test equipment, computers, typewriters, calculators, etc., below 9 feet from the <br />floor surface. Care must be taken not to permanently mar the surfaces. <br /> <br />21. SPOT CLEAN FURNITURE AND FIXTURES <br /> <br />Use a sponge, clean cloth abrasive pad, spray bottle of detergent solution, glass cleaner, <br />or creme cleanser to remove smudges, fingerprints, marks, streaks, tape, etc., from the <br />surfaces of ledges, window sills, fire extinguishers, counter tops, walls, doors, door <br />frames and sills, pictures, partitions, rails, and other types of fixtures and surfaces which <br />are not considered to be furniture surfaces or specialty equipment such as test equipment, <br />computers, typewriters, calculators, etc., below 9 feet from the floor surface. <br /> <br />22. SPOT CLEAN TRASH RECEPTACLES <br /> <br />Remove nonpermanent stains and soil from the interior and exterior of trash receptacles. <br />Use a cleaning cloth or sponge and neutral detergent solution or lotion cleanser and a <br />synthetic fiber abrasive pad. <br /> <br />23. SPRAY-BUFFIHARD FLOORS <br /> <br />Prior to being spray-buffed, the floor surface shall be dust mopped. A single-disc floor <br />machine, buffing pad, and a spray bottle. with spray buffing solution shall be used to <br />restore a uniform gloss and protective finish to resilient tile or terrazzo floors which are <br />finished with a floor finish. The spray buff solution shall be a premixed solution <br />formulated as a companion product to the finish already on the floor. All chairs, trash <br />receptacles, etc., shall be titled or moved where necessary to spray buff underneath. The <br />floor shall be dust mopped after spray buffing. After spray buffing, the entire floor shall <br />have a uniform, glossy appearance, free of scuff marks, heel marks, and other stains, and <br />shall have a uniform coating of floor finish. All spray buff solution shall be removed <br />from baseboards, furniture, trash receptacles, etc. <br />
