<br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />APRIL 4, 2005 <br />TITLE: <br /> <br />THIRD AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br />WITH VALLEY OAK SYSTEMS SOFTWARE <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1 st Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />.UV <br />\ <br /> <br />;/ / <br />(y", ( .J~2- <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to execute a third amendment to the agreement with <br />Valley Oak Systems to specify upgrade parameters and additional services <br />for the City's Workers' Compensation and Liability claims programs. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City has utilized the software services of Valley Oaks Systems since <br />1995 to manage its Workers' Compensation and Liability claims programs to <br />provide statutory benefits to injured employees. A second amendment to <br />the agreement, approved by Council on April 7, 2003, provided the cost <br />parameters to upgrade existing systems for compliance with new <br />regulations. <br /> <br />A third amendment, which specifies the upgrade parameters and additional <br />services to be performed, requires Council approval. The third amendment <br />does not add additional funds nor does it extend the term of the <br />agreement, which ends on July 7, 2006. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br /> <br /> <br />25A-1 <br /> <br />CS 383 <br />
