Beginning in FY 2005, adoption ofNIMS will <br />be a federal requirement for receipt of future Homeland Security grant funds. <br /> <br />Additionally, jurisdictions and agencies should institutionalize the use of the <br />Incident Command System (ICS) as taught by ODP, or the National Fire <br />Academy, across their entire response system by the end of the two-year <br />performance period. <br /> <br />Continued on next page <br /> <br />FY04 Urban Areas Security Initiative <br /> <br />Page 10 <br />
