The site is approximately <br />9.73 acres in size and is zoned Light Industrial (M-1) which is consistent <br />with the General Plan designation of Industrial (IND) for the area. <br />Access to the site is from Birch Street and Central Avenue. The site is <br />surrounded on all sides by industrial uses. The overnight parking of <br />certain vending vehicles is proposed on 2.88 acres on the north side of <br />the site (Exhibit 1). <br /> <br />Project Description <br /> <br />Abel Food Service is approved to operate a 40,000 square foot packaged <br />wholesale grocery warehouse business within an existing 140,000 square <br />foot industrial building.
