<br />EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br /> <br />KO - 3/24/05 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-01 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA PLACING THE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 317 EAST SANTA CLARA <br />AVENUE ON THE HISTORICAL REGISTER AND PLACING <br />WITHIN AN ESTABLISHED CATEGORY <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />On February 4, 2004 the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties and categorization of Wettlin House 317 East Santa <br />Clara Avenue, Santa Ana <br /> <br />The Wettlin House, located at 317 East Santa Clara Avenue, Santa Ana, <br />was built in 1926 and is eligible for inclusion on the Register as it is a <br />representative example of a highly picturesque Tudor Revival architectural <br />style. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />2. <br />3. <br /> <br />The one-story structure is eligible to be placed within the Key <br />category for its distinctive architectural style and quality as <br />illustrated by: <br /> <br />i. Its steeply pitched, cross-gabled roof. <br /> <br />ii. Front-gable detailed with clipped or jerkinhead peak. <br /> <br />iii. An arched front door with an octagonal window. <br /> <br />iv. A series of tripartite windows, some topped by a transom. <br /> <br />v. A front gabled dormer accented with an arrow tipped <br />bargeboard and exposed beams. <br /> <br />The legal owner of the subject property is Alan D. Meyer. <br /> <br />The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set <br />forth herein. <br /> <br />The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on <br />the City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to <br />Section 30-2 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />75A-13 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2005-01 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
