INSTALLATION OF NEWLY-ELECTED The Clerk of the Council admin- COUNCILMEMBERS istered the Oath of Off~ce to incumbent Councilmember R. W. Luxembourger, followed by administration of the Oath of Office to new Councilmembers P. Lee Johnson and Daniel H. Young. The new Councilmembers then took their places at the Council dais and retiring Councilmembers Markel and Serrato stepped down. FILE 120 ELECTION OF MAYOR The Clerk of the Council accepted the nomination by Bricken of R. W. Luxembourger as Mayor. MOTION was then made by Acosta, seconded by McGuigan to close the nominations. Motion passed on the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Acosta, Bricken, Griset, Johnson, Luxembourger, McGuigan, Young None None Councilmember Luxembourger was elected Mayor by acclamation. CHAIR PASSED TO MAYOR BY CLERK The Clerk of the Council re- turned control of the meeting to Mayor Luxembourger. ELECTION OF VICE MAYOR Acosta to close the nominations. The Mayor accepted the nomination by Bricken of Daniel E. Griset as Vice Mayor. MOTION was then made by McGuigan, seconded by Motion passed on the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Acosta, Bricken, Griset, Johnson, Luxembourger, McGuigan, Young None None Councilmember Griset was elected Vice Mayor by acclamation. RECESS TO CRA; HSG. AUTHORITY At 8:10 p.m., Council recessed to the Community Redevelopment Agency which recessed to the Housing Authority at 8:11 p.m. RECONVENE COUNCIL At 8:12 p.m., Council reconvened with all members present.
