TO PROVIDE <br />STORMWATER INSPECTION <br />SERVICES <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />(laJa~. <br /> <br />D As Recommended <br />D As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1st Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />D Implementing Resolution <br />D Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />----- <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute a third amendment to the agreement with <br />URS, Inc. in the amount of $29,000 for a total contract in the amount of <br />$499,000 to provide stormwater inspection services. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Public Works Agency is responsible for the implementation of the <br />City's stormwater permit. Currently, the Agency is utilizing the <br />consultant services of URS, Inc. to inspect all commercial and industrial <br />sites within the city to ensure compliance with the permit. <br /> <br />In accordance with the City's stormwater permit, all high priority <br />industrial sites need to be inspected annually, medium priority <br />industrial sites inspected semi -annually, and low priority commercial <br />sites inspected once every three years. URS has extensive experience in <br />this field and has been providing quality service to the City. Staff is <br />recommending an amendment to an existing contract with the firm of URS <br />Inc., in an amount of $29,000. This extension is needed in order to meet <br />the commercial/industrial inspection deadline as outlined in the <br />stormwater permit. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental <br />recommended action is not considered a CEQA <br />environmental documentation is required. <br /> <br />Quality Act (CEQA), the <br />project.
